Thus far, four Universities in the Netherlands offer free courses to asylum seekers and refugees with an academic background. The courses are taught in English and offered in different fields and at different levels. To be eligible, applicants must hold a refugee or asylum seeker status, a B2 English level, and have an academic background or level of education equivalent to the Dutch VWO.
Incluusion of Utrecht University This program offers a variety of courses provided by Utrecht University and the University of Humanistic Studies. The courses that are available can be found here. TUenable of TU Eindhoven This program enables newcomers in the province of Noord-Brabant to complete undergraduate courses for free. The courses that are made available are taught within the Electrical Engineering faculty, the Industrial Design faculty, or the Industrial Design faculty. WURth-while of Wageningen University & Research This program aims to provide newcomers with the opportunity to develop themselves further through academics. Courses in both Dutch and English are available on BSc and MSc level in all domains of the University: Agrotechnology and Food Sciences, Animal Sciences, Environmental Science, Plant Science, and Social Sciences.
