Learning - English Language

This program offers very affordable English courses for newcomers interested in improving their English for academic and professional objectives

Universities, where courses are taught in English, require an IELTS certificate. It is also used by companies around the world to select the right people for vacant job positions. This is why all our courses are IELTS oriented. Lessons are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

About the courses

The EAN classes follow a modular system based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

The modules are designed in such a way that students are encouraged to enhance and develop all four skills, that is, writing, reading, speaking and listening.

Our curriculum aims to improve the quality of the English language that the students are able to use during their academic studies and professional lives.

Time Investment

EAN Learning program runs on a trimester basis and each trimester lasts three months (Please see the academic calendar for exact dates).

Students are to complete one module in each trimester, during which they are expected to attend 54 hours of face-to-face classes and complete 90 hours of self-study, including the weekly assignments.

Students are also encouraged to sit an achievement test (on the sixth week) and an end-of-module (exit) test in each module.

Method

Our courses are predominantly designed around the principles of Task-Based Learning (TBL). This cutting-edge teaching methodology embeds the coursework in authentic situational tasks to help students settle into real life in the Netherlands.

The EAN curriculum is designed to offer students the necessary tools to achieve a level of proficiency needed to advance onto their academic studies in Dutch Higher Education.

By integrating a variety of teaching techniques and materials, the curriculum aims to equip the learners with crucial linguistic and communicative competence.
